This will help you go from chaos to calm

Are you feeling overwhelmed managing the whirlwind of YouTube, life and work? Whether you’re like me and it’s juggling a baby, sleep and feeding schedule or some other life event. With client deadlines or work, life can be a real circus act. Good news is that there is a way to help you balance it. In this episode, we’ll explore how YouTube can transform from just being another social media platform to your very own business safety net. Let’s dive in.

Episode 29: This Will Help You Go From Chaos to Calm… – Podcast Transcript

Hey, Thrivers. I’m Sara Nguyen, creator of the Thriving Creator Academy, and I’m here to help you go from stuck and overwhelmed to becoming a confident, profitable, and thriving YouTube creator. Join me here each week for honest conversations about what it really takes to be a successful YouTube creator.

Without compromising your creativity, sacrificing cheeky drinks with the people you love or downtime for yourself. You’ll hear about the hard lessons I’ve gone through so you can avoid making the same slow and costly mistakes on your journey. As well as my secret weapons to help you dig deep and do the work it takes.

I’m honoured and grateful to have this opportunity to share this together with you. Right here on the Thriving Creator Podcast. I’m glad you’re here. Let’s get started.

Suddenly, I found myself needing to take care of a tiny little human who required help with everything. Being a first time mama. Looking after a newborn baby.

A plateful of client projects and no family nearby who could help. Oh yeah, and this was during a global pandemic. Have you seen that meme on social media? The one claiming that we all have the same 24 hours as Beyonce.

Well, it’s technically true in a mathematical sense. We need to acknowledge that Beyonce likely has an army of housekeepers, personal chefs, trainers, nannies, and chauffeurs. A whole entourage at her disposal.

Not everyone has the same options and resources and some people’s hours are devalued by circumstances beyond their control. Life can be extraordinarily stressful.

And I want you to know if you’ve ever felt overwhelmed or up against the wall. You’re not alone. The feeling of being lost is shared by many. And while this won’t change your situation, hopefully, it can bring you some comfort to know that you’re not alone.

Luckily for me, my business and YouTube channel were set up in a way that supported me during the cray cray times. I know you might be thinking, ‘okay, Sara, we get it’, YouTube is important.

And no, YouTube is not important. YouTube is vital to having a business that can run without you. While YouTube is a part of the puzzle, it’s a huge and necessary part of the puzzle. And if you actually want to be able to take time off when the what ifs happened in life, YouTube is essential.

Even when I was unable to actively participate in my business, I continue to earn. Who could blame me? I was soaking in the joy of motherhood among the chaos, but guess what?

Despite being mentally, physically, and emotionally drained my business was there for me when I returned, all thanks to YouTube. And this can be your reality too. Imagine having a safety net that allows you to bring in revenue, even when you have other things going on, taking your attention, or maybe you’re just in survival mode for a bit and need some time out.

I didn’t always have my YouTube framework set up and running. For a long time, I was scattered and I just winged it with my business. And I got by, but I was in a constant cycle of feast or famine and it was exhausting.

I was constantly worried about money. I can tell you now that having a YouTube system in place is way better than not having one set up. Introducing a YouTube system shifted my business from a high stress grumble to a smooth operation.

It eliminated the unpredictability and inconsistency that was my business before. Now I have a steady stream of income and predictable workflow, which allows me to balance my personal life and professional commitments much more effectively.

This has not only brought about financial stability, but also significantly reduced stress. Freeing me to enjoy my journey as a new mother and entrepreneur. I know you might feel a little bit overwhelmed with where to even start with this whole YouTube system thing.

Getting up with video in integrating a strategy for your business sounds like a lot, especially if you’re new or not used to content creation. But that’s why I’m here though.

Helping businesses like you implement YouTube is my main job. And I know what to look for, how to start and how to get prepared. One of the major hurdles that creators face when implementing YouTube is the time consuming task of video editing.

As a business, your time is so precious and should be spent dedicated to tasks that bring in the highest value. I’m a huge fan of delegating video editing task. It really frees up your time to concentrate on other important aspects of your business and your channel.

It’s like having an extra pair of hands to help you juggle everything. So I’ve uploaded a copy of my guide to hiring an amazing video editor. This includes a sample job posting that you can tweak for your own needs.

Go ahead, download it. The link is in the show notes so you can have your YouTube content running when the unexpected happens or you just need a break. And so you can have more time to do all the other things.

I know you might be thinking that there’s no way you could even begin to hire out the video editing yet. You don’t have to do it on your own. Start with the guide, that alone will make the path so much easier for you.

Trust yourself. Take that first step. And know that I’m here cheering you on every step of the way. Here’s to turning challenges into opportunities and transforming the whirlwind of life into a dance.

Keep shining, my friend. The episode is over, but it doesn’t have to end here. If you’d like to have your YouTube channel running like a perfectly synchronized clock, attracting a growing audience and bringing in a steady income for you.

I’m here to tell you this isn’t just a pipe dream. It’s well within your reach, join me in my YouTube masterclass to unlock the hidden magic of my YouTube framework.

You’ll get access to my four step plan that will melt away any YouTube confusion and help you transform your passion into profit.

🖼️ Open the AI Assistant from the Adobe Express homepage and ask for a YouTube thumbnail
📸 Give it three things: a photo of you, a few words for the text, and what the video is actually about
💬 The context is what stops you getting a generic design
✨ Pick one of the starting options, or keep prompting until one is close
✏️ Tweak the text right there, remove anything you don't want, and download it
🎨 Or open it in the editor and describe the change: a different outfit colour, an extra element, and it styles them to match the design

Here's how I do it:
🐉 I uploaded a dragon I liked and asked Firefly for an image seen through the rider's eyes
🎬 In Generate video, that picture became the first frame
⚙️ I chose Kling 3.0 Omni, turned on multi-shot and set it to 15 seconds
✍️ I wrote what happens in each shot and hit generate
🔁 For a longer flight I ran it a second time, starting from the last frame of the first, with new shots (that is why there are six shots below)

Finding music for a video is the job most of us leave until last, when we are tired and just want it done. So we scroll a library for twenty minutes, settle for something close enough, and hope the licence covers us. Here the track gets written to fit the video instead, and the licence question is already answered.
What happens in this one:
🎬 I drop my dragon video straight into Adobe Firefly
✍️ Adobe Firefly writes the music prompt for me, and I pick the vibe, style and details
🎵 It watches the video and gives me four tracks matched to the story to choose from
🐉 Sound effects come from the same place: I typed "gentle dragon huff" and hit generate

Most caption tools give you one look and that is the end of the conversation. You get whatever the app hands you, and every video you post ends up wearing someone else's font. The generated style is a great starting point, it gets you most of the way in one tap, but it is a starting point and not the finish. Changing the font, the size and the colours takes seconds, and it is the difference between captions that sit on your video and captions that belong to it.
How to add captions to your video:
🎬 Upload your video, then hit the CC icon at the top of the timeline
🌐 Pick your language and tap Generate, and it transcribes the whole thing
✨ Grab a caption style, one tap gets you most of the way there
🎨 Then make it yours: swap the font, size it how you want, colours to match your brand
✏️ If a word came out wrong, fix the text and it updates on the video straight away
No second app, no extra subscription, and it is free to try.

Most people I talk to want to learn this stuff and have no idea where to begin. The courses are hands-on, they are built for people starting from nothing, and they sit on platforms you already have an account on. You pick one, you go at your own pace, and at the end there is something you can show for it.

Every messy idea I have for my business now goes o Every messy idea I have for my business now goes onto one Adobe Firefly board: random notes, dragon images, colour palettes.
Here is how that pile turns into a logo, a banner, a storyboard and a finished video, without ever leaving the board.
Thanks to Adobe Firefly for sponsoring this video. #AdobeFireflyAmbassadors #Ad #FireflyBoards
Most advice about starting a brand assumes you are staring at a blank page. Running a business is the opposite problem. You have far too many ideas, all of them half formed, scattered across your notes app and your camera roll, and none of them finished. A board is where they all land in one place and start turning into something.
What happens in this one:
🐉 Everything goes on the board, notes, reference images, colour palettes
🎨 Presets shape the mess, and the dragon images become logo options
🖼️ The logo becomes a banner, finished off in Adobe Express
🎬 The shots get generated as images and laid out into a storyboard
▶️ Those same images become actual video clips, right there on the board
