How to go live on Facebook Groups and Pages at the same time – Restream Tutorial – Video Transcript
Well, let me show you how you can live stream to your Facebook page and Facebook group at the same time.
I’m Sara Nguyen, and on this channel, I help you grow your business using video on social media with ease.
And in this live stream tutorial, I’m going to walk you through a really quick way to live stream on Facebook, to a Facebook group and to a Facebook page simultaneously. The live stream software that I’m using today is Restream. They’re an incredibly robust and painless live stream platform.
And I’ve been using them for a couple of years now, and I absolutely love them. They’ve got free and paid plans and you can sign up using my link in the description if you’d like to try them out and get a $10 credit.
You’ve logged into Restream for the first time, you’ll be able to add channels to start streaming. We’re going to go ahead and click on Facebook. And this will ask us to connect to Facebook.
Make sure that you’re also logged into your Facebook page at the same time. This will make it a lot easier. Connect Facebook, and then you’ll be able to choose the Facebook pages and the Facebook groups that you want to live stream to.
I’m going to add this group called demo group. I’m going to select save. And now I’m going to add Restream app to the Facebook groups. I’m going to click on this, and this will open up the Facebook group and the settings. I’m going to now go and click on apps, and add apps.
And now you can see, there are a bunch of apps here. Now I’m going to search for Restream. I’m going to search for Restream in the top left here. And here it is. I’m going to click on that and then I’m going to add this app.
You need to take this step in order for the functionality of live streaming to a group to work. Now we have the Restream app connected to your Facebook group, and you’llbe able to see that this is all working nicely. Now we’re going to go and add the Facebook page.
I’m going to go and click on add channel. Once again, I’m going to click on groups and public pages. I’m going to select connect Facebook, and then I’m going to choose the Facebook page that I want to stream to.
I’m going to click on this one here and then I’m going to click save. Now I have my Facebook group and the Facebook page that I want to live stream to. I want to make sure that the toggles are on and they’re not off. If you toggle it off, it’ll be gray.
And if you toggle it back on, it will be blue. And now I’m ready to set up the live stream. I can go to the live studio on the right-hand corner here, this orange button and select enter live studio. Once you’re in the Restream studio, you can check that Facebook page and the Facebook group that you want to live stream to are set up.
And you would go to the setup tab here on the top right-hand corner. And you can see the destinations here and I can see the Facebook group that I want to live stream to. And the Facebook page is appearing here.
And then I can go through and have a look at the graphics and add overlays and videos and backgrounds. And the other thing that you want to check is underneath the videos here, the settings, which allows you to choose the video input, video resolution, as well as the audio input.
Which microphone you’re going to use. And once you’re ready to go live, you would simply click on, go live and then you’ll know your life because on the top left-hand corner here, you’ll see the orange live icon. And then once you’re ready to end the live stream, after you’ve presented all of your amazing content, you would simply click on finish and select, okay.
And then you’ll be able to see in your Facebook group, the actual live stream. And here it is. I hope you got so much value out of that video. And if you did, why don’t you hit that like button for me? And let me know in the comment section below, what other live stream tutorials would you like to learn about?
I’d love to make those videos for you. And in the meantime, why don’t you either check out my handy dandy Restream playlist or grab a copy of my Facebook Live Cheat Sheets. It’s a super simple way to get up and streaming on Facebook live, even if you’ve never hit record before.
