AI Avatars with Canva – Video transcript

I’m Sara Nguyen, and on this channel, I help businesses grow using and social media with ease. 

If you’re new here, consider subscribing for more of these tutorials. Step into the future of content creation where you can transform your text into audio in minutes. All thanks to AI voiceovers. This is a game-changing way to create engaging audio for your social media content.

You will need a Canva account to get started. If you don’t have one yet, click the link in the description to get Canva Pro free for 45 days, loaded with all of the premium features for you to try out.

All right, let’s dive into the tutorial in Canva. From the Canva homepage, we want to go down to apps. In this search bar here, we’re going to search for Murf AI.

Then you’ll see it here, so I want you to select that. We’re going to use it in a new design. I’m going to, once again, choose a video size, but you choose whichever size suits you. A pop-up will appear, which will ask you to sign into your Murf AI account.

So go ahead and create one. And then once you’ve logged in, you can come back here and you’ll be able to start adding your voiceovers. So I’m going to select my name here.

After you’ve created the account, you’ll be able to see it. And now I can go to add an actual voice. So I can choose the language. I’m going to choose English Australia because that’s where I’m from.

And I can see that there are voice options here. So here I can see that there’s free and paid versions. The paid versions have the little padlock on it, so you need to be on a paid Murf AI plan in order to use that. I’m going to use a free one here. I’m going to choose Chloe, and let’s just preview her by clicking on the little Play button to see what she sounds like.

Hello, this is Chloe. I am a friendly Australian voice in Murf Studio. You can select them to preview as many as you want before you actually add them. I’m going to select Chloe there, and now I’m going to scroll down and I’m going to add my text.

Now that I’ve added my text, I can choose to increase the voice speed a little or slow it down. I’m going to leave it as it is. Same with the option to change the pitch. There’s no option to preview it, unfortunately.

You just need to generate the voiceover. We’re going to go ahead and select Generate voiceover. Once it’s generated, you’ll be able to play it and then add it to the design. Let me show you how to create natural sounding AI voiceovers, just like what you’re hearing now.

How cool is this? That’s it. That’s how you create the AI voiceover, selecting a voice, adding your text, and then changing the speed or pitch, and then you’re able to generate it and add it to a design in Canva.

Once you’re ready, you can share it and download the file, start using it wherever you need to. When I think about practical applications of this, I think about transforming what would otherwise be a static social media graphic, but then adding an AI voiceover so then you have this cool little piece of content that could look something like this.
